The top list of learning platforms for 2022 has been prepared out of the 1000+ platforms being used in multiple countries across the globe. The analyst mentioned that the list represented has been categorized as per different industries/verticals, target audiences, implementation, time frame, budget, and minimum active user base. Points for these platforms have been scored from an analyst & buyer perspective with some of the criteria specified as UI/UX, metrics/analytics, design of the metrics, functionality of the system, next-tier feature sets, training, and customer/technical support.

The analysts categorized the target audience for these platforms – Combo (majority of the market), Employees, and Customers. Combo – refers to the audience that includes employees and customers however skew more towards employees. Employee-focused – 85% focus on employees, here L&D and HR would be the core audience. Customer Education Focused – 90% or higher, use the system for customer education/partner training.
